The most problem newbies have in mailing to their leads is that they send all their leads out at one time with their email provider. Which will have most of their emails returned undelivered.
Email providers have spam filters and don’t like that and will see you as a spammer and will return the emails and may even block their account.
Another problem is their hosting account, if they are using it for email marketing. Most hosting accounts are not for email marketing. They have email limits per hour or whatever they may have in place to prevent spamming. However, if you stay within their limits it’s ok. The new person not knowing their hosting limits will dump hundreds or thousands in there and send them only to have them bounce.
If you plan on sending more than the hosting allows, you have to trickle them out over a period of time, space them out.
It’s best to have an open import autoresponder or one that will let you import leads in to send out emails that have an unsubscribe link in the emails. They will also allow you to send a greater quantity of emails. Using an email marketing service would also be wise.
It’s best if you didn’t use the words sex or viagra in your campaigns.
